Did you know that your gut is connected to your brain? Well, it is. Many of the health issues we have are due to malfunction of neurotransmitters that send messages to our vital organs. You see, there’s a small organ in the brain (the hypothalamus) that regulates blood pressure, blood sugar levels, emotions and behavior, our memory, hunger and thirst, mood, and hormones by way of neurotransmitters. If the hypothalamus malfunctions, neurotransmitters cannot communicate properly, and over time, body metabolism is off, which then makes us sick with diabetes, high blood pressure, irregular sleep patterns, and other nasty body disturbances.
I hate to say it, but I have to speak truth: poor dietary choices contribute to the body disturbances mentioned above. In fact, more than likely, too much refined sugar, fried foods, and food products are the culprits contributing to an inflamed hypothalamus. Let me explain. When the hypothalamus is inflamed, our hormones tend to go way, way off, creating an overactive appetite, causing weight gain. An inflamed hypothalamus also creates insulin resistance, low metabolism, low energy, and overall malaise (feeling blah all the time). Yuck. Who wants that, right?
Proper intake of nutrition—through QUALITY FOODS, can change the reality of your health. If you are unsure of what to eat, just remember the vast color of the rainbow of food that God created: rich red, purple, yellow, green, orange and blue fruits and veggies. You may ask: is it that simple? The answer is emphatically yes! Our bodies are created with mathematical precision and can only function in its best capacity IF quality foods from the color spectrum are put in it (the body). You know the saying—garbage in, garbage out. Let’s work together to fix it. A great place to start is to use the color spectrum as your guide. Heal the regulator so that the regulator can regulate.
Truth is, we really don’t need a large variety of foods. The color spectrum is enough to keep our bodies functioning. Abundant life is longevity and is right around the corner. Try it. You’ll see. Proper nutrition is the only answer. I guarantee it.
